Jerry, the Concierge, goes above and beyond in helping the visitors navigate not only the things to do in this historic city, but also showing them how to get around. He is generous with his time in explaining the answers to any questions people present. In addition, he is resourceful and creative solving unique potentially aggravation problems: during the marathon, the taxis were very delayed and canceled. He stepped right in without hesitation and managed every step of getting my first uber in a manner which was FAR and way above what would be called excellent. Interactions with all staff members are very positive as well.

Location is brilliant for being able to see alot of the historical part of Philidelphia, the building was beautiful and I loved the fact that check in included a brief history of the hotel, staff were very friendly and always said hi or morning. I loved the afternoon cookies and coffee / tea they offered, I've never known any other hotel/b&b do that. The room was a very good size and the bed was very comfortable. Our first day at the botel they gave us a map with suggested places to visit, which was also an enjoyable moment. Would highly recommend staying at Morris House Hotel!

The Morris House Hotel is more than a comfortable, totally centrally located hotel in Philly. From the first moment you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a charming, helpful, very experienced, extremely friendly and always positive management. The historical background of the house invites you to find out more. You feel warmly welcomed as if in a family community. The rooms are tastefully decorated with a love of authenticity. Having stayed there for more than just a few days, I can recommend this hotel with pleasure and conviction.

Old historic house, not easy taking cases upstairs, but knew this when booking. Strange first night, wanted to relax in restaurant garden with a drink, but was asked to move to the outskirts of the courtyard, as people eating there and we were only having a drink? Second night Monday was informed restaurant would be closed, which if normal practice, then we should have been prior informed. Spent the night eating in a very good establishment just down the road.

David

Everything met my expectations; from the perfect location to walk to many attractions, to the ease of accessing public transportation, to the quiet yet attentive service, to the comfortable beds, to the excellent food in the restaurant, to the feeling of safety in a big city for a woman traveling alone and the historical value of a few nights in a place where much of our early political brouhahas began.
